Standard & Online UPS Systems

We carry both standard (line-interactive) and online (double-conversion) UPS models. Standard UPS units are a cost-effective choice for PCs, routers, and general home or office use. Online UPS systems provide continuous, cleaner power protection and are typically used for servers, POS systems, and equipment that requires a higher level of power protection. Browse our available models to find the right fit, or contact us for help choosing.

Which UPS Capacity Fits Your Setup?

UPS capacity is measured in VA (volt-amps). As a general starting point based on the models we carry:

  • PC / Workstation: entry-level standard UPS units (around 850–1000 VA) are commonly used to protect a single desktop.
  • Router / Network Equipment: smaller standard UPS units (around 850–1000 VA) can also keep a router or modem running briefly during an outage.
  • POS System: POS setups typically use a small-to-mid standard or online UPS (around 1000–1800 VA), depending on the till and connected peripherals.
  • Office Equipment: multiple desktops or shared office equipment generally call for a higher-capacity standard or online UPS (around 2000–3000 VA).
  • Server: business servers are typically paired with an online (double-conversion) UPS at 6000 VA and above, for continuous, conditioned power protection during a graceful shutdown.

Actual sizing depends on the total power draw of your equipment and how long you need backup power to last, and a UPS also helps protect sensitive PC components from power surges. Check individual product pages for exact VA ratings, or contact CompuOne for help choosing the right model. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a standard and an online UPS?
A standard (line-interactive) UPS switches to battery power when it detects an outage, with a brief switchover time. An online (double-conversion) UPS continuously converts incoming power and supplies conditioned power to connected equipment, without a conventional switchover delay. Online UPS systems are commonly used for servers and sensitive equipment requiring a higher level of power protection.

Do you sell UPS systems in Beirut and across Lebanon?
Yes, CompuOne serves customers in Beirut and across Lebanon, with delivery available depending on your location.

What size UPS do I need?
UPS sizing depends on the power draw of the equipment you are protecting and how long you need backup power to last. Contact us with your setup details and we can help you choose a suitable model.

Is a UPS the same as an inverter?
Not exactly. A UPS is primarily designed to provide short-term backup power and power protection for electronic equipment. An inverter is generally used for backup power and longer runtime applications. CompuOne carries both UPS and inverter/charger units, depending on the application.

Can a UPS protect a POS system from power outages?
A suitable UPS can help keep POS equipment — including receipt printers — operating during short power interruptions and provide power protection. The appropriate UPS depends on the POS equipment and its power requirements.
